Speaking on class presentations

Research is crucial when it comes down to public speaking, the process of research allows for one to focus on interest and increases the understanding of a specific topics. research answers questions and teaches you lots of facts you were unaware of. After watching all of the group's presentations I was cultivated on research and its importance when it comes down to public speaking and presentation. Using the internet is a useful way to carry out research But you must Be mindful where you are getting the information from. Although the internet is full of substantial information there is also misleading information that is not necessarily correct. The best information sources occur from high quality sources and typically can have a price on it. Locating web sources with the correct information is key.

In my opinion, all of my classmates did a great job at getting there research topics across clearly. I noticed that the majority of presenters were able to successfully cite information within their presentations. I can tell the majority built there confidence to present to an audience, through research. after researching my own topic on gun laws in France I gained knowledge and interesting points that made me feel more confident to present my work.

steps that you can take to become an effective public speaker:

Effective Public Speaking Pyramid

                                                    Research in speech

Following this funnel I have presented above is a great tactic to reach your full potential as an effective public speaker. It all begins with your foundations. Making sure you can identify your audience is a good start to choosing a topic and its purpose. After making those selections incorporating the most reliable and trustworthy research would be key to organization and supporting your purpose. The hardest part of it all for me is the top of the funnel. Verbally delivering a speech can be nerve wrecking if you don't fully complete and understand the foundations of your speech. To provide your audience with the best experience you must accept and understand the primary foundations of effective public speaking.

Moreover, I really enjoyed working with my own group on our presentation based off of gun laws in different countries around the world. it was surprising to see how different all the laws were across the globe. It really does open your eyes and reminds you how different everyone and everything can be. In my group presentation I feel that we did a good job at delivering the speeches and getting as much information across as they all could in a timely manner.

Finally in my opinion, the entire class seemed to have followed the primary foundations. The topic of the speech and the purpose Presenting a speech is challenging but after reflecting on my classmates' presentations on the breakdown of all there different topics I definitely can agree that having the correct research with good sources and organization will lead to a better presentation.  In my opinion all of my classmates did an awesome job at providing the right information and tips for each owns topic. The groups made their Power Points organized and really focused on getting the sub points of the topic. After reviewing the Power Points I now feel that I have more knowledge on specific tops that I had never even thought of researching before.
